Methanol, also known as lignin or wood alcohol, mainly has paralyzing effects on blood vessels and causes neurodegeneration, especially damage to the optic nerve. Therefore, methanol must be measured as a health indicator in wine, and the country has standard inspection methods and standard values. However, the determination method and standard value of methanol in the final discharge sewage of some chemical plants have not been reported in China.
