This document specifies the principle, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, analysis steps, result calculation and precision of headspace solid phase microextraction gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for volatile alcohol components in wine.



This document is applicable to the determination of volatile alcohol components in wine: trimethylsilanol, 1-octene-3-ol, n-heptanol, n-octanol, cycloheptanol, trans-2-octene-1-ol, n-decanol, lauryl alcohol and linanol.



The detection limits of this standard method are 0.001mg/L for trimethylsilanol, 0.1mg/L for 1-octene-3-ol, 0.01mg/L for n-heptanol, 0.002mg/L for n-octanol, 0.01mg/L for cyclohexanol, 0.1mg/L for trans-2-octene-1-ol, 0.005mg/L for n-decanol, 0.001mg/L for lauryl alcohol, and 0.01mg/L for linalool.
